Our History

Aspen Appraisal Group, LLC has proudly provided accurate, reliable real estate appraising and Counseling services for the Aspen Snowmass community for over 45 years.

James J. Mollica & Associates, Inc.

Our business was started as James J. Mollica & Associates, Inc. in 1973. Jim Mollica, the founder, received his RM designation from the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers in 1975 and became one of the youngest MAI’s in Institute history in 1977.

Scott Bowie joined the firm as an appraisal associate in 1976, Randy Gold joined two years later, in 1978. Both were designated MAI by the Appraisal Institute in 1984, at which time they also joined Jim as equity partners in the firm. After 16 years, Jim left the company in 1989 to pursue other interests. Scott retired in 2005 but remains an adviser to the firm.
